Since 1999, Wild Bettas has been importing wild type bettas, not the Betta Splendens, enough people are working with this fish.

We used to import wild betta fish from reputable transhippers, wholesalers and breeders around the globe, basically, wherever we could get betta fish from. All of this has changed.

We are now working closely with people on the ground in Malaysia. The people that are actually collecting the fish, that care about their conservation. We will be whole-heartedly supporting their efforts protecting the natural habitats of the wild betta fish. Also we will be supporting the conservation and breeding efforts to protect populations of specific wild bettas. One of the Wild bettas in particular we are working with is the Betta macrostoma.
